Photo Album 1982 924
Nice shot of the 924 sitting next to the 924S (Prior to exterior work)
Note the paint defect on the left front headlight lens cover.
Wider tires, rear wheel spacers, and a power antenna will help improve the look.

924 Engine after the initial cleaning / Note: Upgraded to hood shocks!
Wipers, washer lines, nozzles, hood insulation, and alternator cooling hose replaced.

Installation of polished cam and timing belt covers!

Interior of the 924 (before and after).  The dash and seat covers hid splits in both. The carpets
are in really good shape. The leather shift boot was not. Note the missing vent on the right.  All of
the cheap 924 vents were replaced with 944 vents and a console was added.

Decent shots of how badly the interior seats had deteriorated.  The cargo cover had to be junked/

New seats Installed and vent replaced! It still needs the new dash cover and console.

Cargo area restored.  Note the new vinyl rear seats, replaced cargo cover, replaced missing
carpet clips, replaced the missing air compressor (not shown) and replaced the missing sunroof
bag.  Also note the third brake light upgrade that came with hatch replacement.

Good shot of the rear of the 924 before and after hatch replacement, spoiler upgrade, new paint, new decals, and lens upgrade.  The hatch had a terrible "rattle" while driving but didn't leak.   Note where the hatch had been chipping paint. The tow hitch was removed and the license plate moved to the bumper to allow for the lens upgrade. The new hatch also added the third brake light.

Another angle after spoiler but before everything else. Also a photo of the new Porsche cargo
mat.  You can see the small hatch seal repair to fix a gap.  I also added the hooks to automatically
raise the cargo cover when the hatch is opened.

My single center dash speaker solution.  I hope to move these to the front doors in the future.
924 Steering wheel removed to replace bezel and dash lights.  Note that the defrost switch
has been pulled for replacement, there is a new cigarette lighter and a Blaupunkt CD player.

Drivers side (before and after)
Note the new dash and New leather shift boot.  I may switch to a 944 Steering wheel. Stay tuned!

The newly painted 924 with new moldings, new decals, new windshield, new hatch,
power antenna upgrade, added wheel spacers, lens upgrade, and more!!

Finishing touch.  Porsche crest valve stem caps and a new custom cover to protect the 924!
